Surfcentric A selection of Photo Essays documenting nautical encounters with ocean going

My name’s Jamie Bott and I’ve been shooting pictures in and around the world or surfing for a large part of the past ten years. The majority of my projects shoots have been self funded and self motivated and many of my images have, in one way or another, found their way into surf publications around the world. As a photographer I’m interested in pictures that tell stories in a visually captivating yet truthful way. This series of photo essays that will feature on Surfcentric are an attempt for me to make sense of the waves and characters that I have spent most of my adult life chasing. It’s an opportunity to reconnect with and find a direction for my work as well as being a platform on which to publish new work as well as selections from the archives.

I would like to thank Howard Swanwick and Angela Rivers at Drift Magazine for their continuing support and Matt Calvani and Margaret Yao  who have been generous enough to invite me into the Bing Surfboards Family by asking me to be one of their team riders.
